Unexpected Call

After so many sleepless nights, physically feel very "down" already. Then while Im rushing to print out report, saw a missed call from unknown number. Almost ignore it. But somehow, called back! I asked in the tone as whole world owes me $$$

"WHO IS DIS?" 
Hallo, is this Steffi?
I answered impatiently "YES, WHO IS DIS?!"
Dis is Lion Michael.

He is the president of Lions Club KL Seputeh, seems older than my dad. His club happened to be sponsoring Lion for Leo club in my university. In my term, I was de one who communicate with him for meeting or invite him whenever there is event being held around uni. It has been 2 years since the last time I saw him during an event and today, he called to check if I have completed my study. Aftr learned my current situation, he wished me all de best and let me call him once I graduate.

Honestly, aftr I detach from events, clubs, activities for de past 2 years, sometimes I will stil go tru old pictures, memorising what I have done. Sometimes, I will still miss those moments. Then I will start to feel what a useless, lifeless bitch I am now! But life must GO ON! However, you'll feel warmed and touched to know that someone frm de past stil remember you and check on you.

Long time ago, I used to tell a group of volunteer when giving briefing before we tutoring de kids in orphanage "One day, those children might forget your name. They might forget things you taught them. But they will never forget the feeling you gave them... The feeling that someone still care for them, that you are not give up on them"

What I didn't know for myself is, ELDERS develop this kind of feeling too. Even you never say it, they knew it when you respect them! And they will remember! Lesson learned today, no matter how tired, how down u are, de moment you pick up a call. Happy and polite mode MUST ON!!! Cos u never know what is coming to you!! Still... today sia sue daooooo =_=''
